The Research Attempts To Reveal The Importance Of A Threatened Historical Districts Situated In The Outside Of The Wall Of Old Damascus, The Research Is About Revealing 14 Fourteen Important Highlights Of Sarouja Distributed Alongside With MOMENT! Installation And Exhibited To The Public.

These Highlights Are Not Only Architectural; They Can Also Be Details About The Social Life, History, And Comparisons. Some Of These Highlights Can Be Visible While Other Exists Only In Memories And Literature.

The Beginnings Origins Of Souq Sarouja Started On In The XII Century, When The Eastern Side Of Sarouja Was Initially Called Al Ouienah Or Ouienat Al Hema, It Strated Started Extending From The Districts Out Of Damascus Wall,  The Side Of Oqaibah. Many Buildings Appeared In The Ayyubid Era Represented By Tombs And Graves Like The Al Najmiah Tomb And Al Muiniah Tomb And The Great School Of Set Al Sham.

Sarouja Developed During The Mamluk Period And Became A Luxurious Area For Governors And Society Social Elites In Under The Ottoman Ruling Rule Of Damascus, Eventually,And During The French Mandate Of Syria, A New Urban Plan Of Damascus Has Been Proposed And Resulted To Extract Srouja Out Of Its Authentic Fabric. Nowadays, Souq Sarouja Holds A Tremendous History And More Tremendous Fabrics With Many Buildings With Deferent Different References.
