Marah is an architect who graduated from Damascus University in 2021. Since then, she has been actively engaged in urban research, working as a research trainee at Synaps Foundation in 2022 and as the 2023 Syrian Urban Fellow at the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN)’s Local Pathways Fellowship. She has also been a member of the research unit at the Young Syrian Urbanists Network (YSU) since 2022. Marah’s interests center on exploring practices of coping mechanisms as strategies for future survival, regenerative systems, and post-growth paradigms.
